Beef Stroganoff Jan Peterson
1 ½# sirloin, cut in thin strips 2 Tbsp. butter
½ tsp. garlic 1 ½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce ½ lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
4 cups chopped onions 2 beef bouillon cubes
1 cup tomato sauce 1 cup boiling water
1 cup sour cream
Brown meat in butter. Add onions, garlic, mushrooms, salt and cook until onions are brown and transparent. Add remaining ingredients except sour cream. Cover, cook until beef is fork tender, about 40 minutes. Just before serving, stir in sour cream and serve on buttered and seasoned hot noodles or rice.
