Taco Pie                        Jayne Armbruster

This recipe may be doubled.  Put in a 9 x 13 inch pan and it will serve at least 20 people.

1 can refrigerated crescent rolls                        1 lb. ground beef

1 small or medium pkg. taco chips, crushed                        1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce

1/2 cup water                        1 pkg. taco seasoning

1 cup sour cream                        1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded

 

Brown the beef.  Drain fat.  Add tomato sauce, water and taco seasoning.  Place crescent rolls in bottom of 10 inch pie plate.  Layer other ingredients on top, in this order;  1/2 of crushed taco chips; ground beef mixture, sour cream; Mozzarella cheese, remaining taco chips.  Bake at 375 for 25 minutes.  Bev served this at club and served the taco condiments with it - lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sour cream.
