Filled Cookies                                          Aunt Hilda Nelson

1/2 cup butter                                          ½ tsp. salt

½ cup sugar                                          1 egg beaten

1 tsp. vanilla                                          3 ½ cup flour                   

3 tsp. Baking Powder                                          1/3 cup milk

Chill thoroughly.  Roll out, cut into circles and use filling.

1 cup raisins                                          1 cup dates

1 cup nuts                                          1 cup sugar

1 cup water                                          2 tsp. flour

Boil until thick.  (or use dates, cranberries, thick jam, mince meat.) Place one cookie on top of others, press edges and bake in 400° oven
