Boiled Shrimp                                             Jan Peterson

2 qts. water                                                  1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce


1/8 tsp. hot sauce                                       10 peppercorns

2 lemon, sliced                                            2 tsp. salt

2 bay leaves                                                 1 small onion, sliced

1 stalk. of celery with leaves                   3 # fresh shrimp

Bring water to boil in kettle.  Add all ingredients except shrimp; boil 10 min.  Add shrimp; bring to slow boil.  Cook, stirring occasionally 5 minutes; remove from heat.  Cover; let stand 15 minutes.  Drain in colander; cool.  Peel; remove veins.  Can be served with hot garlic butter or seafood sauce.
