Onion Strings                                              Jan Peterson

1 large onion sliced very thin (Slice so it doesn't make rings)

Buttermilk

2 cups of flour                                             1 tsp. (or more) Lawrys Seasoning Salt

1 tsp. (or more) Onion Powder               1 tsp. (or more) Garlic Powder

Put onion strings in buttermilk and let set for 1 hour or more in refrigerator.  Shake excess liquid off  and add to flour mixed with seasoning salt, onion powder and garlic powder.   (I put my flour/seasonings in plastic bag - saves a mess). Shake - Deep fry until lightly brown.   Serve with horseradish sauce

 

Horseradish sauce

2 cup salad dressing                                 2 cup sour cream

3 Tbsp. Chili Sauce                                    2 Tbsp. horseradish, grated
