Warm Blue Cheese, Bacon and Garlic Dip      Jan Peterson

7 slices bacon, chopped                                  ¼ cup half and half

2 garlic cloves, minced                                    4 oz. blue cheese crumbled

8 oz. cream cheese softened                           2 Tbsp. Chopped fresh chives

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cook the bacon over medium heat until almost crisp; drain.  Add the garlic.  Cook until the bacon is crisp.  Beat the cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth.  Add the half and half and mix well.  Stir in the bacon mixture, bleu cheese and chives.  Spoon into a 2 cup ovenproof serving dish and cover with foil.  Bake for 30 minutes or until heated through.  Serve with crackers.
