Banana Bread                                                               Jan Peterson

2 cups flour                                                                    1 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt                                                                    1/2 cup margarine

1 cup brown sugar                                                         2 eggs

3 Tbsp. buttermilk                                                         1 cup ripe mashed bananas

1/3 cup chopped nuts


Put margarine, brown sugar, eggs, buttermilk and mashed bananas in blender andmix until smooth. Pour into bowl, add flour, salt and baking soda. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cupchopped nuts. Pour into lightly greased 9 x 5 x 3" bread pan. Bake in 350 ovenfor 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

Remove from pan, cool.
