German Apple Cake                                            Sharon Benda

Beat until  light: - 2 - 3 eggs

 

Add and beat:

1 cup salad oil                                                       2 cups sugar

2 cups flour                                                            3 teaspoons cinnamon

1 tsp. baking soda                                               1/2 teaspoon salt

4 cups sliced and peeled apples                     1/2 cup nuts

Bake at 350 degrees 45 ‑ 60 minutes

 

Topping

1 large cream cheese                                          3 Tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon vanilla                                                2 cups powdered sugar
