Heath Bar Cake                                                    Hillery Isaacson

Place in bowl:

2 cups sifted flour                                                1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar                                                1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup shortening

 

Cut shortening into flour and sugar.  Reserve 1 cup of mixture for topping.

Add:

1 egg                                                                        1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup sweet milk ‑ 1 teaspoon soda added

 

Mix with crumb mixture and place in 9 x 13 greased and floured pan.  Sprinkle remaining cup of crumb mixture and 1/2 cup chopped nuts on top.  Break 6 Heath Bars in small pieces and sprinkle on top. 

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
