Microwave Caramel Corn                                       Peggy Peterson

1 cup brown sugar                                                    1/2 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup white corn syrup                                          1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. baking soda                                                 1 tsp. vanilla

4 quarts popped corn

 

Combine sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in 2 qt. dish.  In the micro, bring to boil - then cook full power 2 minutes.  Remove and stir in vanilla and soda.  Put popped corn in brown bag.  Pour syrup over corn.  Close bag and shake.  Micro 1 1/2 minutes more.  Pour on cookie sheet to cool.   Randy loves this!
