Strawberry Divinity                                                 Aunt Ethel (Johnson)


Cook two cups sugar, 1/2 cup water and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar to firm ball stage (248 F).  Add one cup preserved strawberries, drained as dry as possible.  Let come to a boil again Pour slowly over beaten whites of two eggs.  Beat until thick and fluffy. Pour into buttered pan.  Any thick preserve or candied fruit may be used for this recipe.
