Pretzel Nut Bars                        Jan Peterson

10 oz. salted mixed nuts, chopped  1 - 18 oz. pkg. refrigerated sugar cookies

1 c. toffee bits  1/12 c. mik chocolate chips

½ c. butterscotch chips  1/3 c. creamy peanut butter

1 c. chopped pretzel sticks

 

Grease 13 x 9 inch pan.  Spread chopped nuts in bottom.  Cut cookie dough into 3/8" slices and place over the chopped nuts.  Press to form crust.  Sprinkle toffee bits over crust and press lightly into dough.  Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly brown.  Cool.  In bowl, combine chocolate chips and butterscotch chips.  Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until melted, stirring once during melting.  Add peanut butter and blend well.  Stir in pretzels.  Spread evenly over baked crust.
