Frikadeller (Meat Balls)                               Grandma Petersen (Lil)

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef                                     1/2 onion chopped

1 egg                                                               1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup bread crumbs                                     Salt and pepper to taste


Mix well with your hands and shape into balls of about 1/3 cup mixture.  Flatten slightly and fry (in small amount of grease if necessary) on each side until well done.  Mom really never had a recipe for this, but always made them.  When she showed me how to make them, this is the recipe I came up with (Jan).  Original recipe calls for one half of the meat being ground pork.
