Bread Dumplings                                                           Emily Breiwick

2 cups chopped celery with leaves                                2 cups chopped onions

1 ½ lb. dry bread broke in small pieces                         2 sticks of butter

Fry celery and onions in butter.  Add to bread pieces with 2 eggs.  Mix all together and roll into balls about 2 inches.  Put in buttered pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.  You can tell they are done when you touch them and they bounce back.  This is a recipe that Stan remembers his Grandmother made, and now Emily has learned to make them from her Grandmother.
