Creamy Potato Sticks                        Taste of Home

1/4 cup flour                        1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cups milk                        1 can cream of celery soup

1/2 lb. American cheese, cubed                        5 to 6 large baking potatoes

1 cup chopped onion

 

Combine flour and salt in a saucepan, gradually stir in milk until smooth.  Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in soup and cheese until smooth.  Set aside.  Cut potatoes into 4 x 1/2 x 1/2 inch sticks; place in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 pan.  Sprinkle with onion.  Top with cheese sauce.  Bake uncovered at 350 for approx. 90 minutes or until potatoes are tender.   Sprinkle with paprika.
