Peanut Bars                        Deloris Isaacson

1/2 cup butter                        1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cup flour                        2 eggs separated

1/2 cup milk                        1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 teaspoons baking powder

 

Cream butter and sugar.  Add egg yolks and milk.  Add sifted dry ingredients and beat well. Fold in egg whites that have been beaten stiff.  Bake in 9 x 13 pan.  Cut in squares ‑ frost all sides and roll in chopped salted peanuts.

 

Frosting

2 cups powdered sugar                        1/2 cup butter

Milk ‑ enough to spread
