­Poppy Seed Torte                                                      Faith Monty

1 cup flour                                                                 2 cups whipped topping

½ cup margarine                                                        ¼ cup Poppy seed

½ cup chopped nuts                                                  3 cups milk

1 cup Powdered Sugar                                               2 Small Pkgs. Instant Vanilla Pudding

1 – 8 oz. cream cheese

Add poppy seed to 1 cup milk and let soak.  Combine flour, margarine and nuts.  Pat into 13 x 9 “ pan.  Bake at 350 degrees until light brown – about 10 minutes.  Cool.  Mix together powdered sugar, cream cheese, whipped topping.  Spread over base.  Add 2 more cups milk to poppy seed mixture/milk, then mix with pudding.  Pour over cream cheese layer.  Cover with whipped topping and chill.
