Water Cake Aunt Tillie Christensen

1 cup sugar 1/4 tsp. salt

2 cups boiling water

Combine above ingredients. Mix following as a cake:

1/2 cup sugar 1 Tbsp. cocoa

1 Tbsp. butter cup flour

1/2 cup milk 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup dates

1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup nuts

Drop dough into the water-sugar mixture, that you've put in 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake 30 - 45 minutes at 350. Cut serving pieces and put upside down on plates. Top with whipped cream.
