Jello Popcorn Balls                                                  Aunt Lynn Petersen

12/ pkg. 3 oz. Jello - any flavor                               1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup sugar                                                              

½ cup butter (use only butter) sorry weight-watchers

6 quarts popped popcorn - making sure that all seeds are removed (I use air popper).

 

Place popcorn in a large dishpan.  Mix jello, syrup, sugar and butter.  Put over medium heat and bring to a boil.  Boil till completely dissolved.  Pour mixture over popped popcorn, mixing thoroughly to coat all the popcorn.  Butter hands and shape into balls quickly before mixture hardens.  I altered this recipe by adding the butter to make it more crunchy.  If not added, it tends to be sticky to the teeth.  Having fun making different flavors!
