Christmas Trees Jan Peterson

1 cup shortening 3/4 cup sugar

1 egg 2 1/4 cup flour

1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon almond extract Green food coloring

Cream shortening and sugar, add egg, dry ingredients, flavoring and a few drops of coloring. Mix well. Fill a cookie press. Form cookies on greased cookie sheet, using the tree plate. Decorate with tiny candies. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 ‑ 12 minutes.
