Secret Almond Kiss Cookies Becky Grasso
36 Hershey’s Kisses with Almonds 1
cup soft butter
˝ cup sugar 1
tsp. Vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour ˝ tsp. Almond
extract (optional)
1 1/4 cups finely chopped
slivered almonds (optional)
Powdered sugar
Heat oven to 375°. Remove wrappers from kisses.
Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl until fluffy. Add flour and almonds; beat on low speed of mixer
until well blended. Refrigerate until
firm enough to roll. Using about 2
Tbsp. dough around each kiss; roll in hand to make ball. Be sure to cover each kiss completely. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are
set but not browned. Cool slightly;
remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
(I didn’t use the almond extract or almonds - just the Hershey kisses
with almonds)
